Well I was a witness today to how low some people and in this case men can stoop.
This occurred in a recreational club, an environment where people should behave better considering there are children and adolescents around to see this kind inappropriate behaviour.
Bear in mind that bullying etc in the school and work environment is not only frowned upon but treated in some cases as assault etc with police getting involved.
A recreational club should be a place where people can enjoy free from harassment and bullying just like anywhere else in todays "enlightened" society.
In this case, middle aged man decided to involve himself in anothers vendetta against a third party where he decided to put a dead cockroach into this third partys coffee. Not only that he was caught smirking when the third party started to drink his coffee and spat it out when he felt the cockroach in the coffee.
I'd expect this behaviour in the schoolyard by immature chidren not by middle aged men, but clearly I was sorely mistaken.
The real shame was that the "finding" of the insect was witnessed by the victims grandson, something that was dissapointing to say the least.
I have caught myself wondering who the real cockroach is but I feel it would demean the dead participant in this case.

Statistics
Well during my surfing and catching up on others blogs I came across a page of stats that I found very interesting. Now we all know about stats and well the way that they are ignored when it doesn't suit politicians but if these are true, why doesn't the media report on this ? Maybe it's just another inconvenient truth

New Year
Well apparently it happened a couple of months ago. Wow where did that go ?
I've been quite amiss not posting but I'm back.
I was very fortunate to spend a lot of time with our children over the xmas break. Then that wonderful time came around when they went back to school. Yay I said. Time to get back into a routine.
Well still no routine and the day they went back was one of the most emotional days I've had for a looonnnnggg time. The house was empty. The dog slept and I sat there missing their voices, expecting them to be around each corner and when I found that they weren't, I felt that sadness all over again.
Not an easy day.
I'm so blessed to have them here with me the rest of the time and feel for those who don't have the same.
